A Few Rounds Games
A Few Rounds Games is an indie game studio, and Umbral Core is our first commercial title. We are three 27-years-old friends - two computer engineers and a marketing manager with a competitive fighting game past - who decided to start a passion project in front of a beer. We settled on a dark fantasy fighting game, and immediately started playing around with characters and mechanics just for fun.
The project quickly evolved as we managed to spark the interest of some extremely talented professionals spread across the world in places such as Italy, France, UK, Spain and the USA.
Comoglio, our Art Lead, was the first to believe in the project and join us, and he was closely followed by Lucas, our Environment Artist. With Dan, our Narrative Designer, they heavily influenced the art and narrative direction of Umbral Core. With their experience, and that of the other collaborators, we managed to achieve what we couldn't have alone.
